Pioneering guitarist, composer, vocalist and electronic artist ADRIAN BELEW will embark on an intimate club tour of Western Canada this October, bringing his genre-spanning creations, spirited improvisations and special solo moments to lucky music fans.
ADRIAN BELEW is well known for his diverse travels around the musical map. Chosen by FRANK ZAPPA to join his band in 1977, Belews signature guitar tones are all over Zappas movie Baby Snakes as well as his biggest selling album Sheik Yerbouti. His session work has led him to work with an amazing array of rock n rolls finest talent, from David Bowie, Laurie Anderson, Talking Heads, Paul Simon and Nine Inch Nails. He has released over 20 albums since the 1980s solo, or with his other projects, The Adrian Belew Power Trio or The Bears. As well, for nearly 30 years, he has been the lyricist, vocalist and co-guitarist (with Robert Fripp) of progressive rock legends KING CRIMSON, but has always found time for his own sonic experiments and producing albums for other artists.
Belew is also an accomplished painter, responsible for several of his CD covers, including all of his recent Side releases.
