Due to overwhelming popular demand with the rapid sell out of the September 30th show, a second per-formance has been added for Juno award winning CITY AND COLOUR at Edmontons Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium on October 1, 2009. Tickets for this new show go on sale this Saturday, September 12 at 10 AM at Unionevents.com and Ticketmaster.
Green, who until a couple of years ago was better known as the dulcet voice of Alexisonfire, released his debut album Sometimes in 2005. A culmination of music that he had been writing for over a decade, the album achieved Platinum certification in 2006, surpassing any expectations he had. Green gave a heart-felt performance at the 2006 MuchMusic Video Awards, where City and Colour won the Peoples Choice Favourite Canadian Artist award. In 2007, Green performed live on the JUNOS, taking home the award for Alternative Album of The Year.
2008 was another incredibly busy and successful year for City and Colour. Sophomore album Bring Me Your Love was one of the Top 10 Best albums, and one of the top sellers on iTunes 2008 Best Canadian Music list. Green returned to the Juno Awards for another live performance, this time with guest Gord Downie. Following a sold out headlining cross Canada tour, Green embarked on a successful run sup-porting Tegan and Sara in the U.S, followed by his first full-band headlining tour there, which was re-markably sold-out in advance.
Green once again brings his full-band including Scott Remila and Dylan Green (no relation) to Edmonton. Dont miss City and Colour at The Jubilee Auditorium on Thursday, October 1, 2009.
