After selling out Flames Central in one weekend, the legendary MOTORHEAD have decided to work a second date for Calgary into their expansive tour schedule.
Due to overwhelming popular demand, the Union is proud to announce that the rockers will be hitting Flames Central on Sunday September 27, 2009. Tickets for this no-minors rock explosion will be on sale this Friday September 11 at 10 AM at Unionevents.com and Ticketmaster.
MOTORHEAD Lemmy, drummer Mikkey Dee and guitarist Phil Campbell was formed in 1975 by bassist, singer & songwriter Lemmy, and has the reputation as one of Britains foremost rock bands, thanks to the unrelenting sound captured on albums like Overkill, Bomber, Ace Of Spades and No Sleep Til Hammersmith.
Motorizer is MOTORHEAD’s 24th album and gives listeners the feeling that they have not yet reached the peak of their musical output. Like the band themselves have stated: A kick ass motherf****g record definitely one of the wider ranged MOTORHEAD records ever released. The album was produced by longtime ally Cameron Webb and the recording of Mikkey Dees drums took place at Foo Fighter Dave Grohl’s 606 studios in Los Angeles. The rest of the album was recorded at world famous Sage and Sound studios in Hollywood.
Joining MOTORHEAD on this Canadian onslaught will be The Reverend Horton Heat and Nashville Pussy, legends themselves in the game of tough-as-leather, knock-em-down, hard-living rock n roll.
Undeniably, The Reverend Horton Heat, aka Jim Heath, is the biggest, baddest, grittiest, greasiest, greatest rocker that ever piled his hair up and pounded the drinks down. Its been an almost 20-year journey for Heath, whose country-flavored punkabilly and onstage antics have brought him and his band a strikingly diverse fan base and a devoted cult following, not to mention the respect of fellow musicians worldwide. Revival, the bands first release for Yep Roc Records, is a return to Heaths roots musical and geographical.
The outlaw sound of Nashville Pussy has seen them through the last decade, and theyre still blowing the doors off every club they play. Their latest album, From Hell To Texas, was released earlier this year.
