American metal icons Korn have announced that, due to public demand, their April 6 show in the GTA has been moved to Sound Academy. Previously purchased tickets will be honoured at the door.

In a statement explaining the move, the band has said: “Korn has requested their Canadian promoter for a change of venue due to an overwhelming amount of email they have received from fans wanting to see the band in a club/hall setting like Roseland Ballroom in NYC or Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee for their upcoming Ballroom Blitz in the U.S. The members of Korn feel it’s essential to give their audience the experience they want, and the promoter agrees.

Korn will be debuting material from their upcoming 9th studio album, Korn III – Remember Who You Are. The new album marks the return of producer Ross Robinson, who worked with Korn on their first two releases, Korn and Life is Peachy. The album, due out this summer, will also be Korns first release with new label Roadrunner Records.

Lead vocalist Jonathan Davis has said that the new material matches the pure raw emotion of Korns early releases while the current touring band has never been tighter. Its the perfect mix, says Davis. We cant wait for the fans to hear it!
